Lotion or body butter?
about our products
Why use body butter instead of lotion? There are many people out there that have never heard of natural and organic body butters as an alternative to body lotions. And the BIG difference is the ingredients.
Here's the difference: Lotions are mostly water and water dries the skin. So many companies add moisturizing ingredients to counter this. And the problem with this is, these moisturizers wear off quickly leaving your skin drier than before. Since water easily becomes contaminated with bacteria, preservatives are used. Chemicals like phthalates and parabens are commonly used and are hidden under the term "fragrance".
On the other hand,
Our Body Butters are mostly butters and oils containing absolutely no water. Our choice of unrefined butters and organic oils penetrate into the skin deeply leaving your skin nourished, moisturized and soft. Our products makes your skin healthier, smoother and leaves your skin with a radiant glow.
Preservatives: We don't use preservatives due to these ingredients --- shea butter, coconut oil and jojoba oil have natural antimicrobial protection.
Our natural scents: we never use artificial fragrances of any kind. We only use pure 100% natural essential oils to add scent to our natural and organic body butters and oils. We also, rely on our natural scents in our body butters as unrefined Shea butter has a light nutty scent. Raw cocoa butter has a rich chocolate scent and coconut oil has a tropical coconut scent.
Our product containers: Our all-natural and organic body butters are sold in 4-ounce and 8-ounce glass jars. Our face oils are sold in 2-ounce glass dropper bottles.
From much research, we found that plastic tends to break down in the presence of essential oils and certain plastics have health concerns, so we've chosen to take precaution and avoid them all.
How to Use Our Body Butters: A little goes a long way. Apply after shower/bath with dry hands. Scoop a dime size amount into fingers and gently massage all over the body as needed.
